Chrome extension privacy
This notice explains how Liloi for Chrome handles material you choose to capture. It supplements Liloi’s Privacy Policy; it does not replace it.
What you choose to capture
Only a toolbar or context-menu action captures the selected text or already-loaded page text, page title and source URL. URL query strings, fragments and embedded credentials are removed. The extension does not monitor browsing in the background or read your browsing-history database, login cookies, passwords or keystrokes. Selected content may itself contain personal or confidential information; capture only material you are allowed to share.
Capture IDs, timestamps and an opaque Liloi account identifier support expiry, duplicate prevention and sending material to the correct signed-in account. The extension does not store your account password or web login session. Your interface-language preference is stored locally.
Review before transfer
Captured text stays in the extension preview until you continue to Liloi. Continuing passes it to Liloi’s web import screen in your browser; it does not by itself upload the original to our servers. Collection requires a verified Liloi account, Pro and the web screen’s explicit safety and processing confirmations.
After you confirm collection, Liloi sends the material through its authenticated service for work understanding. Supabase, Vercel and OpenAI process the relevant data as described in the Privacy Policy, including its service-provider and overseas-transfer disclosures. The extension does not execute remote code or independently generate AI encouragement. Optional Pro encouragement is controlled in Liloi web settings.
Retention and deletion
Unsent extension captures are held in Chrome session storage for at most 30 minutes and are cleared when the browser session ends. You can discard them in the preview. Raw extension text is removed after upload acknowledgement; an opaque duplicate-prevention receipt may remain for at most 24 hours. The local language preference remains until you change it or remove extension data.
The web import screen and server follow the Privacy Policy’s processing, retention and deletion rules. Processing originals are automatically deleted under that policy; extracted work records and supporting excerpts remain until deleted. Discarding an extension preview or uninstalling the extension does not delete records already saved to your Liloi account. Use Liloi’s record, source or account deletion controls for those records.
Limited Use
Liloi’s use and transfer of information received through the Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use this information only for the disclosed work-capture purpose and related security and support. We do not sell it, use or transfer it for advertising, unrelated purposes, creditworthiness assessment or lending. Transfers to service providers are limited to the disclosed service and authorized use cases.
